A Claude skill that fixes your SEO and AEO
You can hand SEO and AEO to Claude. A skill gives it a checklist and rules, so it audits your site like a technical SEO, then makes the safe fixes in your code and shows what changed. Here is what that looks like, and where it stops.
Can Claude do SEO for my website?
Yes, for the technical and on-page work: it can audit your pages, write titles and descriptions, add structured data, write llms.txt and find questions you have no page for. It can't build links or promise rankings.
In the Claude app it reads your live site and hands back fixes to paste. In Claude Code it can also edit your site's code, rebuild it and check the result.
What does a Claude SEO and AEO skill check?
Crawling and indexing, titles and descriptions, structured data, answer readiness for AI assistants, and speed. Each gets a score with evidence.
- Crawl & index: robots.txt, sitemap, redirects for http, www and trailing slashes, real 404s
- On-page: title and description length, one H1, canonical, Open Graph image
- Structured data: Organization, Product, FAQPage, Breadcrumb, all parsed and true
- Answer readiness (AEO): plain answers to customer questions, llms.txt, consistent facts, AI crawler access

Can it fix the problems, not just list them?
In Claude Code, yes. Say "optimise my site" and it audits, applies every safe fix on a branch, rebuilds, re-audits and shows before and after scores, then opens a pull request for you to review.
Safe fixes change how the site is described, not what it claims: titles, meta tags, schema for facts already on the page, llms.txt, sitemap and question headings. New claims, prices and new pages come back as proposals for you to approve.
On Wix, Squarespace, Webflow or Shopify, where Claude can't edit the code, you get each fix as a block to paste and where it goes.
How is AEO different from SEO?
SEO gets you ranked in Google's links. AEO gets you understood and quoted by AI assistants like ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews. Most of the work overlaps; AEO adds direct answers, llms.txt and consistent facts.

What can't a skill do for SEO?
It can't earn links or mentions for you, verify your Google Business Profile, or change settings in your hosting dashboard. It tells you the exact steps for those.

Be wary of anything offering fake searches, clicks or bought links. Search engines filter them out and can penalise the site.

Do I need Claude Code to use it?
No. The audit works in the Claude app. Claude Code adds the one-command optimise: it edits your code, rebuilds and re-audits.
Will it change my site without asking?
No. It works on a branch and opens a pull request. Nothing goes live until you merge it.
Will this get me to the top of Google?
No one can promise that. It fixes what stops Google and AI assistants from understanding your site, which improves the odds.
